Our dentists are board certified pediatric dentists. A Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry is a pediatric dentist whose credentials have been verified, who has successfully completed voluntary examinations, and who demonstrates specialized knowledge and skill. A Diplomate is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care through a voluntary commitment to lifelong learning.
Dr. Jerry Godkin D.D.S.
Houston native Dr. Jerry Godkin attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a BS in Zoology! He then went on to Baylor Dental College for his doctorate in dental surgery and did his residency training in pedodontics at the Children’s Hospital in Dallas. While in dental school, Dr. Godkin married his wife Sandee, and also had the first of five children. In 1971, he started working in his private practice, and is currently still there to help children. Dr. Godkin also attended a 2 year course in orthodontics, and enjoys doing braces. He has in the past served as president of both the Houston Academy of Pediatric Dentists and the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentists. He is also a current member of the ADA, TDA, GHDS, AAPD and the American Academy of Orthodontics. Some of Dr. Godkin’s hobbies include raising Arabian horses, playing golf, and running. His personal goals are to serve his community as best as possible and to serve as a mentor to his 6 grandchildren.
Dr. Lisa Treviño D.D.S.
Dr. Lisa Treviño is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Proud to be a Texan, Dr. Treviño attended St. Mary’s University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She then did a research internship before continuing on to The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston for her doctorate in dental surgery, and then to Miami Children’s Hospital for her specialty training in pediatric dentistry. After graduating, she joined Dr. Jerry Godkin in private practice. Dr. Lisa Treviño is currently on staff at Houston Northwest Medical Center, and is able to help children with treatment under general anesthesia. She is currently a member of the ADA, TDA, GHDS, AAPD, TAPD, HAPD, and the HDA, and has been featured in the member spotlight in the Journal of the Greater Houston Dental Society. Dr. Treviño was the past president of the Houston Hispanic Dental Association. Some of Dr. Treviño’s hobbies include painting, trying new recipes and enjoying family. Her personal goals are to give back to her profession, and to serve her community.
